In this blog series I am telling the stories of 100 of my favorite images, how I came to be there, what it was like and why I still enjoy the image. For image 32 of the series I'm looking at an image that came about from a quick break during a long road trip.
27 February 2013. Tirrannaville, NSW. Australia
It had been a long week of working in Canberra and while I was eager to hit the road and get home to the family it wasn't too long until I needed to stop and take a break. Pulling off the country road I had taken as a short cut I got out to stretch my legs and I could see this storm in the distance. It was a perfect backdrop to the Australian countryside so I took a quick image of it with my long lens and feeling recharged, hopped back in the car for the journey home.
Creating fine prints is my favorite part of photography, sharing the ultimate expression of an image with someone who will cherish it for years to come brings me great satisfaction. If you would like to purchase a print please contact me, prints from this series start at just $100.
